Mr Mista is the 3rd single from the Nesian’s latest record ‘Elevator Musiq’ The approach was pretty straightforward and disciplined, still keeping in line with the loose theme of our earlier two tracks — keep it nostalgic, keep it New Zealand.
A small crew headed to Welcome Bay, Te Awanui’s hometown Marae and filmed on 16mm with available light only. We just wanted to capture the Nesian’s doing their thing (this is where they go to write) and connecting with the people who give them the support to do what they do.
Big, big thanks to Crighton Bone and Jonny Yarell especially who really went above and beyond to make this happen, as well as to Che Fu and Cydel for guest starring and just being legends.
